Delas Cotes du Rhone & Caliterra Tributo Carmenere

We’re releasing our Wednesday Deal a little early this week because the offers expire on August 31 so we can’t keep them on the site for long.
We feature two great value wines from leading Rhone estate, Delas Freres and a gorgeous single vineyard Carmenere from Chile’s Caliterra.
Although founded in 1835 and boasting an award studded history, the wines of Delas Freres had underperformed in recent decades. But commenting on the 2009 releases, Robert Parker observed that “ The brilliant Jacques Granges remains in control of all winemaking at Delas Freres, and he has produced some of his greatest wines in 2009 for the northern cuvees. Moreover, this is a firm that has surged ahead in quality over the last 15 years, and their southern Rhone selections are increasingly impressive, including some excellent bargains.” The Cotes du Rhone St Esprit mainly Syrah (70%) with Grenache making up the balance of the blend and the Cotes du Ventoux is mainly Grenache with a dash of Syrah.
Caliterra was founded in 1996 as a joint venture between Robert Mondavi and Vina Errazuriz, producing a range of stunning value single vineyard wines in the Colchagua Valley which have earned consistently high reviews from Robert Parker.
These three offers are priced from £7.08 through to £7.92 per bottle at the case 12 rate. A fantastic value mid week offer.
