Malbec Blend refers to a blend where Malbec is the predominant variety. Malbec is notoriously purple in colour, and contributes this to any given blend as well as silky tannins, and rich plum fruit.  In France Malbec is largely found in the South West areas - specifically in Cahors. It is one of the flagship grapes of Argentina where it is blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and indigenous grapes such as Torrontés and Bonarda.
