This red wine grape is native to Italy and predominantly grown in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Northern Italy. It is known for producing full and rich wines with excellent depth of colour, ripe plum, blackcurrant and blackberry leaf flavours alongside excellent potential for balance of acidity and tannin.
