Bill Blosser and Susan Sokol Blosser, co-founders of Sokol Blosser Winery, were amongst the few original pioneers of viticulture in Oregon. The Sokol Blossers realised the potential of the Dundee Hills iron-rich, red soils for the production of excellent Pinot Noir. Today second generation Sokol Blossers, Alex and Alison run the company, producing wines that include the Dundee Hills Pinot Noir, Estate Cuv?e Pinot Noir, limited production Single Block Pinot Noirs, Willamette Valley Pinot Gris, Ros? of Pinot Noir, White Riesling Dessert Wine and proprietary blends, Evolution White and Evolution Red. Their immense respect for the Earth is evident in the fact that they are certified as organic; farm adhering to sustainable business practices and have a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified underground barrel cellar. This along with unique farming, harvesting, fermenting and aging all play key roles in crafting high quality, elegant and age-worthy wines with a sense of place.
