Feudi di San Gregorio are Campania’s leading producers, a wine estate described by Jancis Robinson as having superseded other producers in the region in terms of quality and dynamism. The property encompasses 270 hectares of vineyards located in and around the Sorbo Serpico area, an hour from Naples and Mount Vesuvius.They are dedicated to the preservation and evolution of the native grapes of Campania which have been cultivated there for centuries. Some of San Gregorio’s vineyard plots are heritage vines, and they have access to some of the oldest Aglianico vines in the country.The property combines new technology with Old World wine making philosophy to create unique, expressive wines that have received high scores from the world’s most respected wine critics. It is fascinating to think that the nobility of ancient Rome would have sat around drinking these wines produced from the native grapes of Campania, this alone provides a good enough reason to sample them!
