Ruby-red with intense aromas of blackberries and wild black cherries, known locally as "amarene" in Italian. This delightful Aglianico manages to achieve both firm structure and velvety softness on the palate, with flavors of dark berries, almonds and black pepper. On the finish, the firm yet soft tannins are beautifully melded with a vibrant mineral acidity, a trait typical of Aglianicos grown on volcanic soils.
