Product Notes

Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir is a stellar New Zealand wine showcasing voluptuous flavours and aromas. It's redolent with luscious notes of ripe red and black fruits, subtly seasoned with nuances of exotic spices, dried herbs, and a hint of dark chocolate. This formidable wine strikes a delectable balance of sweet and savoury on the palate, enlivened by an underlying freshness and an earthy undertone. Matured extensively in oak barrels, it exhibits a refined, velvety texture and a persistent, full-bodied finish. Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir personifies the elegance of its terroir, ensuring a delightful tasting experience for wine connoisseurs.

Tasting Notes

Upon release the wine is bright ruby in colour. There is a teasing array of vibrant red fruit on the nose including raspberry, pomegranate, cherry and plum. Spice and herbal notes, as well as a savoury underlay, add to the wine’s complexity. While the palate has generous fruit weight and velvety tannins, it is balanced with refreshing acidity and a structure that gives the wine classic North Canterbury tension and pinosity.
