  1. How does the Wedding List Service work?

    On the Wedding Services page click on 'Register Wedding'. If you are a new customer to winedirect.co.uk then we ask you to first register as a customer. Once you have done this you will be prompted to set up your Wedding List page. This involves:

    • Entering your full names as Bride and Groom.
    • Entering details of wedding date and venue.
    • Entering an introductory paragraph about your wedding which will display on your Wedding list page.
    • Finally please click on the Wine List Closed/Open button and change to Open.
  2. How do I add products to my wedding list?

    Once you have successfully set up a wedding list, a new button will be added on each detailed product page - 'Add to Wedding'. Just browse the shop as you normally would but click 'Add to Wedding' instead of 'Add to Cart'.

  3. How do we ensure that guests do not all purchase the same wine?

    You will have decided have many cases of a particular wine you want. Let’s say you have selected 2 cases of Penfolds Bin 28. Your list will show that 2 cases are available to purchase. Once these have been purchased then your list will show the wine but display 'Unavailable' and so the guests will have to purchase an alternative.

  4. How do we inform our guests?

    Of course you can inform them via your own invitations etc. However we have built an email notification function into our Wedding List service. You can enter a message, your guest email addresses and send a notification.

  5. How can guests find our Wedding List page?

    Guests can find the Wedding Services page via the homepage. They simply enter the names of the bride or groom in the 'Wedding Services page search box" and will be taken to your Wedding List page. Please do notify the guests accordingly.

  6. What if we would like to have wines which Winedirect.co.uk does not list?

    Once you have selected wines that we do list, then write to us and we will do our best to source the wines at competitive prices. We will then add them to our webshop so that you can select them for your list.

  7. How much is delivery?

    Delivery is free for wedding items if sent in bulk to the wedding venue or to your home up to one month after the wedding. We can also store wines for you and deliver wines as and when you specify. Storage for the first month is free and is then charged at £1.00 per case per month thereafter. After the first month delivery will also be charged as per the current rates prevailing on the website.

  8. Are the wines gift wrapped or packaged in presentation boxes?

    The choice here is really yours and please do let us know if you would like the wine delivered in normal wine cases or in presentation boxes with gift wrapping. If, for example, a small selection of wines are to be delivered to the venue then guests can select from our range of gift presentation cases and purchase accordingly. If however you select a larger number of wines and we deliver them to your home or store them for some time then you will probably prefer them to arrive in standard wine cartons. Either way it is a good idea to inform your guests of your preference.

    If presentation boxes are chosen for delivery to the venue then we will wrap the selection of wine gifts in a suitably elegant fashion using different colours so that they do not all look the same. Guests can add their own messages for Wedding Cards in the gift messages box at checkout. We have a selection of different wedding cards so that you will not receive a dozen identical cards!
