Wine tasting notes

As a major characteristic of the vintage, Pinot Noir shows a lot of strength and vinosity to which Chardonnay brings a nice touch of freshness. Some lovely well developed aromas of honey, acacia, toast and chestnut, very Pinot Noir. A very good structure of the wine, quite intense but definitely not heavy. Superb bouquet and fabulous on the palate: this vintage is one of the best of the 1990’s.

Published : 17-Oct-2005. Very find bead but very high acidity too in this wine based on 1999 and 2000 partly aged in oak. You could buy this direct from the cellar in Avize for less than 15 euros.  When to Drink :  No drinking recommendations

Issue: Web Only - 2008. Rich and nutty on the attack, with the firm structure balanced by a creamy texture. Honey, hazelnut and buttered brioche notes prevail, with the roasted nut echoing on the finish. Drink now through 2012. 5,000 cases made. ?BS. Score: 89pts.Issue: Nov 15, 2007. Deep and intense, featuring candied berry, dried citrus, whole grain toast and gingerbread notes. Builds on the palate to a long, resonant finish. Well balanced, with a chalky feel in the aftertaste. Drink now through 2015. ? BS. Score: 91pts.
