The 2010 is deep red in colour, with complex aromas leading to a richly structured palate, supple tannins and persistent length. Well-balanced with a freshness that lifts the finish.
The Baron de Badassi̬re wines come from the Picpoul de Pinet region, which lies near the coast in the Languedoc. The region benefits from a sunny, warm climate that encourages ripe fruity flavours in the wines, while the coastal breezes help retain freshness and aromatics. The name derives from the Badassi̬re vineyard, situated near the small town of Pom̩rols. The grapes were macerated on skins for a few hours, then pressed in the pneumatic press. The must was cold settled and then fermented at a controlled temperature of 20°C for nine days.
