Product Notes

The Bernabeleva Navaherreros Blanco de Bernabeleva is an exquisite Spanish wine originating from Madrid. This dry white is voluptuous yet refined, with notes of flowers, white fruit, and a dash of minerality. The grapes are biodynamically grown and harvested manually, ensuring quality that translates into the bottle. On the palate, the wine is vivacious, revealing bursts of fresh fruit and an intriguing herbaceous line. Laced with both structure and finesse, the Blanco de Bernabeleva pairs well with an assortment of dishes including seafood and mild cheese. A glass of this will undeniably elevate any dining experience.

Tasting Notes

This blend of Albillo Real and Macabeo offers up a nose of fresh pear, olive, saline hints and dried flowers. Full-bodied and focused, with a lovely centre, minerality and grip, excellent acidity and a long, complex and very nicely balanced finish.

About the Winery

Bernabeleva

Wrapped in the verdant heart of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Madrid, Bernabeleva winery encapsulates the charismatic essence of Spanish viticulture. Sitting at the foothills of Sierra de Gredos Mountains, the winery distinctly highlights the marriage between high-altitude terroir and quintessential grape varietals, wooding the senses with their artistry and craftsmanship.

The story of Bernabeleva is one that spans generations, tracing its origins back to 1923. It was then that the Alvarez-Villamil family first planted vineyards on this verdant earth. Today, Marc Isart Pinos and Raúl Pérez are the skilled vignerons who manipulate the nuances of the soil, weather conditions, and grape varietals to create the harmonious symphony infused in every bottle.

Championing sustainable viticulture, the duo cultivates organically and bio-dynamically, fostering a thriving synergy between the vineyard and its surrounding ecosystem. Moreover, the meticulous attention to terroir is evident in their eclectic range of wines, each expressing the subtleties of the soil, the climate, and the grape.

Bernabeleva is perhaps most recognised for their enthralling range of single-vineyard garnachas. But it's not all the joy red here, as they also produce strikingly complex whites from Albillo Real grapes. The diverse microcilmates and soil types of their unique parcels contribute to the abundant flavour profiles that capture the attention of true wine enthusiasts.

Their Naranjas Azules garnacha, for instance, introduces the palate to seductive layers of raspberry, cherry, and smoky minerality. Maze itself in the ethereal elegance of Navaherreros blanco, where stone fruit notes pirouette with hints of honey and fresh herbs.

Additionally, Bernabeleva's wines encapsulate an unbeatable value proposition. While the quality is high, the price is astoundingly reasonable, making their vintages accessible to a wide swathe of wine aficionados.

So, whether you're a seasoned sommelier or a civilian searching for a flavour journey, stepping into the charming world of Bernabeleva is a tantalising invitation. Each sip transports you to the sun-soaked Spanish vineyards breathing the mountain air and bathed in the pure, warm light of the De Gredos range. Quite simply, each Bernabeleva wine is a tangible tribute to the love, labour and land from which they have born.
