Wine tasting notes

Straw coloured, clear and bright. The bouquet is both floral and fruity, with a underlying hint of almond. Dry and firm on the palate; light bodied and elegant.

Aug 2016 - The 2015 Gravina (a blend of 60% Greco and 40% Malavasia) opens to an off-gold color that may spark initial concern. The wine does indeed sport a slightly oxidative style that is totally in line with some of the other full-bodied whites of southern Italy. The bouquet is loaded with stone fruit and apricot with honey, cantaloupe melon and dried garden herbs.

This luminous blend of Greco and Malvasia opens with a fragrant bouquet of white flowers, peach blossom, citrus, lemon rind and almond blossom. The wine is compact and streamlined with a bright crisp finale. — M.L. (7/1/2011)
