Apr 2015 Reviewer : Luis Gutierrez - The white 2014 Monopole, bottled one month before my tasting, is pure stainless-steel-fermented Viura bottled unoaked. It's a clean, fruit-driven, immediate white with faint aromas of white flowers and fruit and a light palate with moderate acidity and a spritzy hint. This should last a while, although there's no need to wait.

May 2017- By Josh Raynolds - Pale gold. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes dried pear, beeswax and lemon pith, plus a hint of green almond in the background. Chewy and focused on the palate, offering sappy citrus and orchard fruit flavors that are braced and lifted by a chalky mineral note. The citrusy element carries through a long, stony finish that shows very good energy and a touch of bitter quinine (2015)16.5+ pts

Most unusual. Ambitious Viura! Masses of depth with real nuttiness. Shows what can be done with this grape.

Lively flavors of apple, wet stone and herbs mingle in this fresh white. Crisp, well-integrated acidity keeps this focused through the clean, pure finish. Viura.

Always a delicious white with sliced apple, melon and green pear character. Medium body, bright acidity. Lively finish. Drink now

Wine Enthusiast (2016)87 pts

Clean white-fruit aromas are simple but pleasant. This Viura has a round, plump body that's a touch flat. Salty citrus flavors come with notes of lime and green banana. A lasting finish is mild and tasty. Drink immediately.

Vinification Notes

Made entirely from white Viura grapes, hand harvested at optimum ripeness. A cold skin maceration produces excellent aromatic extraction and, after pressing, the must is allowed to fall naturally and then fermentation is carried out at cold, controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, to retain its aromatic freshness.
