This is an easy-drinking unoaked wine. Bright straw-yellow in colour, it is wonderfully lively and fresh with an intensely fruity nose and fresh citrus and tropical fruit on the palate, full of flavour. It finishes with an intriguing hint of black pepper and lime, and crisp mouth-watering acidity.
Cantine Due Palme who are located in the Salento region of Puglia in the heel of Italy’s boot. They are a cooperative, founded in 1989 by Angelo Maci, who is the third generation in a family of winemakers. Today the company have 1,200 growers, covering 2,400 hectares in the heart of the Salento region spread between the provinces of Brindisi, Taranto and Lecce. Made from 100% Chardonnay, the grapes are harvested during August, then cold-macerated before fermentation and maturation in stainless steel tanks.
