Tasted Oct 2016 - Very light ruby. Sweet, almost toffeed, strawberry fruit. Scented, delicate, and attractively dry on the palate even with the sweetness of fruit. Fine tannins. Moreish, juicy, better on the palate than I had expected from the nose. (JH)

Feldspar is sourced from the younger blocks at Chamonix, although some of those are now into their third decade. Elegant, pure and refined with easy drinking strawberry fruit, bright acidity and well judged 30% new oak. Very quaffable. 2017-22

Vinification Notes

10% whole bunch are hand-selected on sorting tables and fermented in stainless steel vats (maceration carbonique) at 22-28° C for 10 days on the skins. The rest is destemmed and fermented in open oak vats for 14 days. After malolactic fermentation the wine of about 13.5% alcohol is matured for 16 months in 228l s French oak barrels with 30% new wood.
