Nov 2015 - Neal Martin - The 2013 Greywacke Pinotage spent 16 months in French oak with 50% ripasso style. It has a perfumed blackberry and boysenberry-scented bouquet with touches of incense and iodine developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, supple in the mouth rendering this an easy-drinking Pinotage that slips down the throat. There is a smoke/tobacco edge towards the finish that is nicely integrated, and it feels long and tender. This is a fine Pinotage from Chamonix that should age nicely over the next 5-8 years.
