March 2016 - Robert Parker - The 2015 Maipe Malbec is another 100% Malbec, with a deep purple color and a style similar to the Lexicon, with chocolaty, blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, as well as touches of licorice and earth. It is delicious, soft and round. (2013)16 pts

Tasted Nov 2013 - Lovely purity of fruit - great aromatic typicality (bramble fruits and floral notes). Oak chips are apparent but not too distracting. Very well made for an inexpensive price. (RH)

Wine Spectator (2015)84 pts

Medium-bodied, with peppery notes to the red plum and dried berry flavors. Short finish

James Suckling (2015)92 pts

A red with lots of dried fruit and spices follow through to a medium to full body, silky tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.

Wine Enthusiast (2014)88 pts

A blast of fruit along with vanilla and marshmallow notes open this bright Malbec. Plum and wild berry flavors steal the show, while a tight, firm finish with screechy tannins gives this gravitas.
