Wine tasting notes

Intense red purple. Excellent typical Merlot where we find above all notes of cherries accompanied by licorice, complemented by subtle touches of vanilla and toffee given by American barrels. Silky and friendly from the begining with elegant and balanced finish. The body is medium and the fresh black fruit makes this wine very balan ced and pleasant. Re 2010. Bright dark and deep purple. Subtle aromas of chocolate, dark plums, red berries and spices, with hints of vanilla and smoke. Medium-bodied, with lovely tannins, velvety texture, rich and a long, pretty finish.

May 2015 - Red plum and dried berry flavors are direct and fresh-tasting in this juicy red. The spicy notes include cardamom and vanilla, which linger on the finish.

Smells green and weedy at first, and then oak aromas rise up to cover the green overriding character. Clacky in the mouth, with green-leaning berry flavors and oak. Finishes herbal, with a lasting flavor of pole bean.

Vinification Notes

60% aged in small American oak barrels during 8 months.
