Expert reviews

Wine Advocate/Robert Parker (2012) - 85 pts

eRobertParker.com #204 Dec 2012 - Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The 2012 Sauvignon Blanc gives expressive notes of fresh lemon juice and gooseberries with whiffs of elderflower and grass. Light to medium-bodied, it offers a decent amount of clean citrus and herbal flavors with a crisp acid line and a medium to long finish. Drink it now to 2014.

James Halliday (2016) - 86 pts

Crunchy green apple, touch of citrus, zesty, fresh and clean. No worries.

Wine Front (2009) - 84 pts

Campbell Mattinson, winefront.com.au, 84pts (2009) - "This is the second biggest selling Australian sauvignon blanc – in Australia. Also, more interestingly, it’s the highest selling Australian sauvignon blanc in New Zealand. It’s grown at Mildura. Very dry. Like tart lemons. Some herbal bitterness. Lacks mid palate punch but it does have some bubble-gum fruitiness through the middle, before lemony acidity takes over. Has enough to make it quaffable without causing concern, which is the basic instinct/responsibility of a wine at this price."

Jeremy Oliver (2012)

Marginally sweet, but also a great deal more sophisticated and complex than most sauvignon blancs in its price range. Delicate, faintly earthy and smoky aromas or gooseberries, melon and faint herbal notes precede a long, smooth and creamy palate whose varietal flavours are enhanced with meaty rather funky influences.
