Wine tasting notes

The Rouge shows a deep ruby colour with garnet highlights on the rim. The generous bouquet suggests blackcurrant, cedar with scents reminiscent of red berries, spices and vanilla. The wine is amply structured; full, round and smooth on the palate with rich fruit and length of flavour. An elegant wine that can mature with time in the bottle.

Expert reviews

Vinous/Antonio Galloni (2013) - 88 pts

May 2017 - Bright medium red. Red and darker berries, herbs and spicy oak on the open nose. Soft, sweet red berry and spice flavors are ready to go right now. Not especially long but the tannins are soft and the wine has immediate fruity appeal, not to mention a pliant middle. Keeps its shape on the end. -- Stephen Tanzer

Wine Spectator (2013) - 87 pts

Soft and friendly, with tea- and cedar-infused cherry and plum fruit flavors that glide through an open-knit finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot
