Product Notes

An intriguing blend of elegance and complexity, Crystallum Bona Fide Pinot Noir is a classic South African wine. Showcasing heady aromas of ripe strawberries and cherries, underpinned by a subtle earthiness, it captures the essence of its coastal terroir. Layered flavours of juicy red fruits, coupled with soft tannins and an underlying minerality, lead to a silky, lingering finish. The wine is aged in French oak, lending a gentle smokiness. Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, Crystallum Bona Fide Pinot Noir is a sophisticated interpretation of the ancient Burgundian variety, captivating wine connoisseurs and novices alike.

Tasting Notes

The 2022 vintage is a powerful and complex expression of this site, with intense aromas of cranberry, sour cherry, tomato leaf, and nutmeg on the nose. The palate is equally decadent, with notes of cocoa, black cherry, wood smoke and mint. Deftly integrated tannins, refreshing acidity and a dense core of fruit indicate it's ability to age beyond 2035.
