Wine tasting notes

A fruit driven yet refreshing Chardonnay, full to the brim with stone fruit, green apple, florals and a slight brininess. The palate is sleek and long, with a slight creaminess that softens the acidity in the mouth. A touch of spice and hazelnut notes emerge from the subtle use of old French oak. with enough generosity to round out any harsh edges. One of the undisputed kings of Australian Shiraz and Rhone varietals, d'Arenberg has managed to turn individuality into an art form by doing a whole lot of little things differently. The original vineyards were established by Joseph Osborn in 1912 in the McLaren Vale region of South Australia. Vinification Notes

Parcels of fruit are selected from vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. The grapes underwent gentle crushing, temperature controlled fermentation and basket pressing. 60% of the juice was fermented in old French oak prior to bottling.
