Expert Reviews

Vinous/Antonio Galloni (2015)89 to 91 pts

Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Cool aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, mint and licorice are complicated by stony minerality. A pliant, juicy midweight with lovely density and intensity to its dark berry flavors. Finishes with firm but fine-grained tannins and very good length. Should make an excellent village wine. -- Stephen Tanzer (2015)16 pts

Fragrant spice and redcurrant fruit, dry and firm – good, typical structure for Gevrey. The palate remains somewhat straightforward though. (RH)

Wine Spectator (2015)92 pts

This is concentrated, with a supple texture and bracing acidity framing the cherry, strawberry and earth flavors. Has tension and energy on the lingering aftertaste

James Suckling (2014)92 pts

Bright and tangy with crunchy fruit and acidity. Light strawberry-leaf and rose character. Orange undertones. Medium-bodied and vibrant. Drink now.

Wine Enthusiast (2016)88 pts

This young wine offers bright cherry flavors as well as the structure of a proper Gevrey, giving a good combination of fruitiness and tannins. It's juicy, crisp and is likely to age relatively quickly. Drink from 2020
