Wine tasting notes

A pale gold, forceful wine, lush and fat on the palate. For the moment its aromas are quite muted, but it has impressive structure, good acidity and is seriously creamy.

Wine Advocate # 197. Oct 2011. Reviewer : Robert Parker. The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Boisrenard blanc is essentially the same blend, but gets much more contact with lees and comes from much older vines, even though the blend is virtually identical. It is a richer, more honeyed wine with notes of citrus oil, ripe peach, and a hint of rose petal. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Drink: now - 2014.

Jan/Feb 12. By Josh Raynolds. Bright gold. Lemon curd, pineapple, orange pith and toasted nuts on the nose and palate, plus a hint of vanilla. Sweet and silky in the mouth, with lively acidity keeping things fresh and focused. Nicely full, round and luscious wine with impressive finishing power and spicy, smoky persistence. (2009)16.5 pts

Published :16-Nov-2010. Very pale. Tangy and floral and relatively light for a white Châteauneuf. Well judged and it even has a little minerality. Peachy end.

Issue: Nov 15, 2012. Lush, with creamed melon and sweetened butter notes at the core surrounded by swirls of heather, Jonagold apple, brioche and toasted Brazil nut. The long, creamy finish has heft and cut, while the melon fruit and toast meld nicely and linger effortlessly. Drink now through 2016. 150 cases made. ?JM.
