Expert Reviews

Wine Advocate/Robert Parker (2013)88 pts

Producing only Rosé, Domaine Montrose has made a solid 2013 Cotes De Thongue that’s made in a classic Provencal style. Very crisp and clean, with notions of orange rind, citrus, mineral water and rose petal, it’s medium-bodied, fresh and downright refreshing. Enjoy it over the coming summer months.

Wine Spectator (2016)85 pts

This juicy rosé has a plump core, showing cherry, raspberry and ripe strawberry flavors, lined with licorice drop and spice accents. Herb-tinged finish.

Wine Enthusiast (2016)86 pts

A pretty floral note, reminiscent of carnations, sits atop the crisp, fresh fruit tones of red cherry and watermelon on the nose and mouth of this easygoing wine. It's direct, yet clean, with a mouthwatering finish.

Vinification Notes

Picking grapes by mechanical harvester and destemming. Skin contact follows by a direct press “rosé de saignée”. Cold settling of the juice and fermentation under temperature control (15° to 18°). Blending of the wines after fermentation. Aging in tank. Bottled at the end of the winter and during spring time.
