Wine tasting notes

This deep and intense ruby-red coloured wine delivers a medley of Mediterranean herbs on the nose, mingled with peppery dark spiced berries. The palate is richly textured, unfurling with flavours of plush cherry, and blueberry fruit underpinned with spice, cedar and herbal notes. This is an unctuous Bordeaux blend with tremendous harmony and structure.

Expert reviews

Wine Advocate/Robert Parker (2017) - 90 pts

A Bordeaux blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Petit Verdot and 17% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Edición Limitada B (B for Bordeaux) is quite different from the 2016 blend, as the years were very different, almost opposite, with this 2017 warmer and more "classical" if you want. It fermented in a combination of stainless steel and used barrels and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months, keeping the varieties separate, and then it was blended and put in oak foudres for a further six months. It's a typical Bordeaux blend, dominated by Cabernet and its herbal and spicy aromas, with a creamy twist. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and integrated acidity. 7,128 bottles were filled in January 2019.

James Suckling (2017) - 93 pts

Lots of blue-fruit, walnut and black-tea aromas and flavors. Full body, chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Needs two or three years to soften. Drink after 2021.
