Expert reviews

Wine Advocate/Robert Parker (2011) - 85 pts

A sleeper of the vintage, this blend of 52% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Cabernet Franc exhibits outstanding ripeness (13.5% alcohol) as well as a deep ruby/purple color and excellent notes of crushed rocks, red and black currants, licorice and earth. Supple-textured, medium-bodied and nicely concentrated, it should provide pleasure over the next 7-10 years.

JancisRobinson.com (2011) - 14.5 pts

Strong menthol/minty aroma that seems out of place. A green streak. Tough and chewy. As I recall, none of the other tasters was quite as disturbed by the menthol note as I was but the average score for the group was just 13.06.

James Suckling (2011) - 88 pts

Very aromatic with a bright, focused nose of flowers and currants. Medium body with lovely density and lightly chewy tannins.
