Wine tasting notes

The San Vincenzo is bright yellow with vibrant hues. Fruity, youthful and aromatic showing the trademark Anselmi complexity. Offers almonds, hazelnuts, melon and peaches. No wood maturation, clean crisp flavours of peaches with hints of nuts and floral elements. Shows a lengthy, clean finish.

Food matching

In his Matching Food and Wine: Classic and Not So Classic Combinations, Michel Roux suggests Salad Monte Cristo (lobsters, egg and potatoes).

Expert reviews

Wine Advocate/Robert Parker (2009) - 87 pts

Wine Advocate # 190. Aug 2010. Reviewer : Antonio Galloni. The 2009 San Vincenzo is a fat, generous white with plenty of ripe apricots and peaches. The soft, caressing style flows through to the long, pretty finish. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013.

JancisRobinson.com (2009) - 15.5 pts

Tasted June 2010 - Pale gold. Compact, cashews and peaches. Neat and unpretentious. (TC)

Wine Spectator (2012) - 89 pts

Oct 15, 2013 - Bright and tangy, offering accents of chive blossom and lemon curd to the pineapple and melon notes. Open-knit and creamy, with a smoky, mineral-tinged finish. Garganega, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2018.

Wine Enthusiast (2011) - 87 pts

Here is a ripe and creamy blend of Garganega, Chardonnay and Sauvignon that offers slightly oxidized aromas of butterscotch, caramel and apricot. At the back, the wine delivers toasted almond and candied fruit. — M.L. (8/1/2013)
