Wine tasting notes

A black cherry red wine with intense purple highlights. The nose is intense, fruity and herbaceous. It offers aromas of cherries, red pepper, currant, blackberries and blueberries which are integrated with sweet spices and liquorice. On the palate the wine is vibrant, long, and well-structured. The tannins are well balanced with the acidity, it is intensely fruity and herbaceous with a spicy aftertaste.

Expert reviews

Wine Spectator (2012) - 86 pts

Web Only 2015 - A balanced red, suited for sipping or light food, with dark berry and cherry fruit underscored by wild herb and smoke notes. Light tannins grace the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Wine Enthusiast (2012) - 88 pts

A blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, this opens with aromas of cut grass, bell pepper and red currant. The easygoing, savory palate offers crushed black cherry, spiced plum and black pepper alongside lithe tannins. — K.O. (6/1/2015)
