Wine tasting notes
One of the great Castiglione vineyards, the same vineyard as Scavino’s Bric dël Fiasc but named using the standard Italian dialect as opposed to that of Piedmont. Aged in large Slavonian oak “botti” and barriques with 20-25% new oak. Impressive, explosive and grippy sweet red fruits, spice and chocolate flavours, juicy, structured and powerful but not at all overpowering; in fact, the lasting impression is of intense fragrant, sweet fruits and spices. Excellent.
