Wine tasting notes

A wonderful elegant Champagne with delicate freshly baked bread and citrus aromas. The palate is crisp, fresh and complex with grapefruit, lime and subtle red berry fruit alongside the richer brioche notes.

Expert reviews

Vinous/Antonio Galloni (NV) - 88 pts

Dec '14 - Bruno Paillard's NV Brut Premiere Cuvée is laced with lemon peel, white flowers, stone fruits and almonds. Bright and precise throughout, the Premiere Cuvée is an excellent introduction to the Paillard house style. The blend is 33% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 22% Pinot Meunier. Disgorged April 2013.-- Antonio Galloni

JancisRobinson.com (NV) - 16.5 pts

Tasted June '13 - Lemony creamy nose. Tight and sharp and lemony and a wonderful mineral backbone. 10 months disgorged. Structured and overlaid with the lightest of floral white-blossom veil. (TC)

Wine Spectator (NV) - 91 pts

There's an intensity to this firm Champagne, with structuring notes of white peach, fresh-cut apple, stony mineral and a hint of beeswax. Vivacious, with a chalky sensation on the finish. Disgorged September 2010. Best from 2014 through 2019.

Wine Enthusiast (NV) - 88 pts

Nearly a year in bottle after disgorgement has given this a toasty character. The acidity and the citrus fruits are still there, but they have been seamlessly integrated into the mature flavors. It's a light style, delicate and elegant. R.V.(12/1/2014)
