Wine tasting notes

Lovely pink colour with fresh red berry aromas of strawberry and raspberry, enhanced with delicate floral notes. This is a fruity but serious rosé, echoing the bright berried fruit flavours on the palate, through to a crisp and elegant finish.

Winery information

Chateau de Campuget

Costi̬res de Nimes, the easternmost appellation of the Languedoc, is effectively part of the Rh̫ne since the climate, soil and topography are so similar to those just over the river in the southern C̫tes-du-Rh̫ne vineyards. The relatively uniform soils are marked by large pebbles on gentle, typically south-facing slopes. Ch̢teau de Campuget was established in 1942 and is a top quality estate near N̨mes with a long history. In its cellar, tradition and progress unite to provide aroma, finesse and bouquet and deploys a wide range of traditional Rhone c̩pages to produce full, easy and spicy wines.

Vinification notes

The colour was obtained through a short maceration of between four to 12 hours, according to the variety. Fermentation took place in stainless-steel tanks with the temperature controlled at 18°C in order to extract the maximum aromas. After racking and filtration, the wine was immediately bottled at the Château.
