This 40 hectare site is beautifully situated on the old Cambrian soils that make Heathcote such an exciting area for Shiraz. It was purchased by winemaker Alberto Antonini, viticulturalist Mark Walpole and David Gleave of Liberty Wines in 2002.
2005 was the first vintage from the Greenstone Vineyard, and was met with great critical acclaim. James Halliday gave the winery a Five Star rating in the 2008 Guide, and named it as one of his Top Ten newcomers. Such acclaim in the first vintage is unusual, but is testament to the quality of the vineyard.
