Founded in the post World War II era in 1946, E. Guigal winery is located in the ancient town of Ampuis, the heartland of the Côte Rôtie region of France. The Rhône Valley vineyards have sloping granite soils and enjoy a unique microclimate, making the area especially suited for viticulture.
Esteemed for its tremendous passion for viniculture, E. Guigal produces and sells over 7 million bottles of wine every year of which a significant portion comprises its signature Côte Rôtie La La wines, the La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne. Third-generation family member, Philippe Guigal, is currently the managing director and chief winemaker at E. Guigal. E. Guigal adheres to strenuous ageing regimes typically lasting up to 48 months to ensure the distinctive nature and quality of their wines. This extended maturation period allows each bottle to develop the exceptional aromatic complexity for which Guigal wines are famous.
