Wine tasting notes

A deep purple colour, with notes of black fruits, spice, dark chocolate and liquorice. On the palate the wine is medium bodied, with complex layers of flavours, combining red fruits, blueberries and blackberries, ripe tannins and soft notes of vanilla from the well judged use of oak.

Vivid purple. Smoke- and spice-accented cherry and blackberry on the nose, along with candied licorice and cola notes in the background. Sappy black currant and bitter cherry flavors gain sweetness with air while picking up suggestions of mint and dark chocolate. Shows very good energy and cut on the clinging finish, which features youthfully chewy tannins and an echo of juicy dark fruit. (2014)17 pts

Blackberry and raspberry and pepper - a seductive and charming combination that gives great aromatic interest on the palate. Persistent fruit, but it's the spice that lingers longest. Lovely purity and juice. (RH)

The nose is fresh with blueberries and iodine character as well as hints of orange rind and sour cherries. Medium to full body, fine tannins a fresh finish

A beautifully and finely balanced wine is lusciously fruited, but retains its elegance through finely grained tannins and a torrent of black and red fruits. It is drinkable in the short term, but will improve as each year passes.
