Indomita

Viña Indómita's imposing state-of-the-art cellar is located in the Casablanca Valley, between Santiago and Valparaiso, 18 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, where the Humboldt current and early morning fog cool the vineyards. Indómita was set up in early 2000, directed by dynamic young winemaker Roberto Carranca who leads a youthful winemaking team. They invest heavily in research to discover the best amalgamations of grapes and soils, aiming to be at the cutting edge of Chilean winemaking and vine exploration. 600 hectares are under vine in total in two of Chile's best wine-growing regions. The cool climate Casablanca Valley is perfect for the cultivation of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, on clay mineral-rich soils, whilst the warmer Maipo Valley's climate ripens Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere to perfection on sandy free-draining soils. Indómita produce a comprehensive portfolio of wines, from easy-drinking to complex, these are impressive and expressive wines which offer amazing value for money. Indómita means indomitable in Spanish, and this winery is indeed living up to its name!
