Wine tasting notes

Appearance - Brilliant in clarity, pale straw in colour with youthful green tints Nose - An almost overwhelming tide of floral perfumes, fresh limes and lemon essence evoke the senses Palate - A tight core of bracing acidity, fresh flavours of lemons and lime juice combine in an expressive palate experience. A wine drinking beautifully in it's youth or one that willprovide further reward with careful cellaring

Winery Information

Kilikanoon was founded in 1997 when winemaker and proprietor Kevin Mitchell purchased the property of the same name in the hamlet of Penwortham in South Australia

Vinification Notes

Our Mort's Block Riesling is sourced from up to three unique vineyard sites in Watervale, all characterised by their moderately fertile, loam over limestone soil profiles. All fruit parcels were hand harvested in late February, typically yielding between 5.0 and 6.0 tonnes per hectare. The unique vineyard terroirs and elevation of these locations has captured the very essence of the vintage yet again.
