Wine tasting notes

Intense purple inky color. Expressive aromas of ripe red fruit with delicate hints of sweet spices. Cedar and tea leaf at the finish. Fresh attack and a medium body. Finishes with very juicy tannins.

Lapostolle was originally a joint French and Chilean operation, and is well known to UK wine drinkers, even though it was only established as recently as 1994. The Marnier-Lapostolle family, the French half of the original partnership, are probably best known for the Grand Marnier liqueur...

Vinification Notes

All the grapes were harvested by hand in small cases of 14 kilos and carefully transported to the winery. We obtained clean and pure fruit with strict quality control thanks to the state of the art technology our brand new optical berries selection. Then all the grapes were gently macerated with a very delicate extraction, obtaining elegant structure, beautiful aromas and impressive color. Fermentation lasted about 2 weeks in stainless steel tanks, utilizing native yeast. After maceration 100% of the wine was aged in 225 lt. French oak barrels; most of them used.
