Tasted Sept 2013 - Quite plain and neutral. Pleasant glassy sort of texture. Simple, subtle flavours. Easy to drink, if unremarkable. (RH)

Issue: Web Only - 2011 . Ripe and juicy, with Golden Delicious apple and Bosc pear flavors, with notes of ripe ruby grapefruit. Dried apricot and spice accents mark the finish. Not imported to the U.S. Drink now. ?KM.

Laurenz Moser V makes deliciously fruity Grüner, allowing the ripe character of the grape to dominate. This wine, bright with apple and citrus flavors, is light, breezy and ready to drink. Screwcap. — R.V. (2/1/2014)

Lime green intensity. Loads of acidity. Refreshing x 10. Finishes with a lime lift into the blue sky yonder. Try with shellfish.

Vinification Notes

The 2012 vintage can be described in five simple words: low quantity and high quality. During Winter and at Easter, when the vines had already started to shoot, and into May we experienced an unusually late spate of frost in Kamptal. By contrast, the Summer was extremely dry. These weather conditions resulted in a reduced yield of up to 40 percent. Nevertheless, the 2012 vintage is now regarded as one of a very high quality. As a result, we can present wonderful, elegant and fruity Grüners with characteristic flavours and a very well balanced zip.
