Wine tasting notes

Straw yellow colour with light green reflections. Aromas of acacia, wildflowers, chamomile and almond. Dry, savoury, crisp mineral characteristics and a peasant almond finish.

Expert Reviews

Vinous/Antonio Galloni (2014)90 pts

Bright golden yellow. Subdued nose hints at ripe yellow fruits and almond paste. Rich and round in the mouth, with slightly reticent aromatic herb and saline flavors nicely extended by lively, harmonious acidity. The long finish features considerable savory bite. Deeper and more complex than the entry-level Albiana but needs a couple more years to develop further.

Wine Spectator (2012)86 pts

Lightly creamy and fresh, offering a chalky edge to the flavors of yellow apple, pear, apricot and lemon curd. Presents a zesty finish, with a hint of smoke.

Wine Enthusiast (2014)87 pts

This opens with aromas that recall acacia flower, chamomile and a whiff of beeswax. The zesty palate offers grapefruit, green apple and hint of white almond alongside racy acidity.

Vinification Notes

Soft crushing, cryomaceration, fermented in stainless steel at 15°C. Sur lie aging of 6 months.
