Product Notes

Monteraponi Chianti Classico Riserva Il Campitello wine is an exceptional Italian offering. Vivid ruby in colour, its aroma is a delightful blend of currants, plums, vanilla, and spiced wood, reflecting its 18 months of ageing in oak. On the palate, it boasts a sophisticated medley of dark fruits and gentle spice, underpinned by fine-grained tannins and finishing with persistent, elegant notes of black cherry. Its balanced acidity and robust structure exemplify the Chianti Classico terroir. Best decanted and left to breathe before savouring alongside aged cheese or robust, meaty dishes. Truly a sublime example of Tuscan winemaking.

Tasting Notes

The wine is garnet-red colored. Intense spicy and red fruity notes on the nose. One is immediately impressed by the wine’s power and strength. The marly and clayey soil lends the wine remarkable savouriness and persistence. The tertiary notes, of aromatic herbs blended with Spanish broom and fennel, are typical of the Chianti Classico zone. High acidity, due to the winery’s altitude, which ensures ageing potential. The fine but firm tannins make this wine the perfect pair with traditional Tuscan meat-based dishes, such as game.
