In his Matching Food and Wine: Classic and Not So Classic Combinations, Michel Roux suggests lambs' tongues with watercress. According to Malcolm Gluck and Mark hix a great match is a great hamburger.

Wine tasting notes

Planted on typical Siena soils of rich yellow clay, the Argenina produces a very soft and alluring Chianti Classico. The 2003 is awash with hedonistic ripe currant fruits, together with complex sap and dried herb suggestions, supported by a creamy tannic structure.

Wine Advocate # 171. Jun 2007. Reviewer : Antonio Galloni. The 2004 Chianti Classico Argenina, the entry-level wine, is a good introduction to the house style. Boasting a powerful personality, it offers notes of flowers, red cherries, earthiness and menthol on a somewhat compact, austere frame, with excellent length and fine overall balance. Drink 2008 - 2016.
