Dec 2016 - Reviewer Luis Gutierrez - The young, fresh and floral 2016 La Flor Malbec mixes grapes from different vineyards in different zones of Mendoza and matured in oak barrel for six months. It's clean and aromatic, with notes of violets and hints of sweet spices. The palate is medium-bodied, with a soft texture and nice balance, with a pleasant, slightly bitter finish.

Mar/Apr '16 - Bright dark red. Expressive aromas of currant, plum, blackberry and mocha. Supple and seamless in the mouth, showing just enough acidity to maintain its shape and balance. The dark berry and mocha flavors are ripe and smooth for 2014. This easygoing, immediately accessible wine finishes with soft tannins and decent length--and no sign of greenness. -- Stephen Tanzer

Web Only 2012 - A forward, juicy red, displaying a firm, earthy edge to the racy blackberry and blueberry notes that remain lively in the finish

James Suckling (2013)90 pts

Focused and clean with berry, walnut and hints of terracota. Full to medium body with fine tannins and a juicy finish. This is a direct, cool expression of malbec from Mendoza. Drink now.

Violet in color, this has ample berry and cassis notes on the bouquet. It feels edgy and grabby, with oaky, spicy plum and blackberry flavors. The fruit component fades fast on the finish, leaving a dry, peppery aftertaste. — M.S. (11/1/2012)
