The Sauvignon Blanc has a greenish, yellow color with a great aromatic intensity reminiscent of grapefruit and other citrus fruits. Its balance of sweetness and acidity enhances its character.

A fruity, juicy expression of cabernet sauvigon with currant and plum character. Full body. Light tannins. Reserved, fruity character. Delicious now.

There aren’t many Argentine Sauvignon Blancs that make a statement, so this is commendable for showing a lightly citric and minerally nose in front of fresh, citrusy flavors of lime, tangerine and grapefruit. More friendly and easygoing than intense or pungent, it fades quick and easy on the finish. — M.S. (10/1/2012)

Produced from only Sauvignon Blanc grapes harvested from within Mendoza, this 2013 Pulenta Estate “La Flor” Sauvignon Blanc was fermented at low temperature to preserve aromatic nuances and also underwent the unusual step of post-fermentation maceration to generate additional flavoural complexity. A pale lemon colour with greenish tinges in the glass, the aromas of this Pulenta Estate “La Flor” Sauvignon Blanc are nicely pronounced with varietally typical notes of gooseberry and green apples rising from the glass. Hints of a slightly unusual pineapple flavour emerge on the palate, along with a good level of acidity that is better integrated than in some examples of South American Sauvignon.

Vinification Notes

Manual harvest and selection of bunches in the winery. Harvest of the grapes in three different stages in order to develop the full potential of the varietal. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. No malolactic fermentation. No oak aging.
