Wine tasting notes

Louis Barruol notes - "All Syrah. Two sources compose this wine for many years now: I am impressed by the way they are consistant in quality watever the vintage is. Vinsobres brings the freshness, the complexity, the strength and the relief. The ‰Û¡_Ç___Ä___Ã_±villafranchiennes terraces‰Û¡_Ç___Ä___Ä_ from the Gard area (huge terraces of rolling stones) generate the colour, the power, the generosity of a southern syrah. These two go so well together, are so complementary, that I will not change this recipe. What I look for in this wine is a bright fruit followed by a well-structured mouth with a good texture. I am not necessarily searching for an aging potential, but apparently, this bottle does age. The syrah from the southern Rhone does not have the finesse of a good northern Rhone syrah, but it has fresh fruit full of charm. In 2012, our wines from Vinsobres are exceptional. Harvesting late allowed us to vinify great wines and they‰Û¡_Ç___Ä___Ä_ll be the base of our 2012 Cotes du Rhone. Look for redcurrant, blackcurrant, liquorish, and violet.‰Û¡_Ç___Ä___ÄñÔ
