Wine tasting notes

A full flavoured Shiraz, which is deep inky purple in colour and has pronounced aromas of sun-ripened dark cherry, sweet spice and a hint of vanilla. Rich dark fruits follow through on the full bodied palate, with silky tannins and a long finish.

Wine Advocate/Robert Parker (2008) - 86 pts

In Asia # 0110 Jan 2010 - Reviewer Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Deep garnet-purple colour. Appealing nose of warm blackberries, blueberries, cinnamon and cumin with a touch of sultanas. Full bodied palate with medium to high acidity and a low to medium level of velvety tannins. Good concentration. Medium to long finish. Tasted September 2009.

Vinification notes

The grapes were cold soaked and fermented at controlled temperatures of between 25° to 30°C, with regular and gentle pumping-over to extract flavour and tannins. The wine was matured in American oak barrels for 12 months, to round out the tannins and impart delicate complexity.
