Wine Advocate # 212. May 2014. Reviewer : Monica Larner - The delicious 2013 Leone d?Almerita is a well-made, pure white wine with bright notes of lemon zest, crushed mineral, lime, kiwi and honey. It?s a great fall back wine for appetizers or to serve during happy hour.

Mar/Apr 14. By Ian D'Agata. Bright straw. Fresh, crisp aromas of quince, yellow melon, fig and orange peel, plus a hint of white flowers. Easygoing and uncomplicated, offering straightforward fresh citrus and floral flavors. Finishes vibrant and long, with nice focus and intensity. A very well made wine that's hard to argue with, though I liked older versions better, as they were less dominated by the sauvignon blanc. I also would probably have never guessed it was a Sicilian wine had I tasted it blind.

Web Only 2014 - Juicy pear and pineapple flavors mix in this light-bodied, mouthwatering white, with hints of white peach and ginger underscored by a note of chalky minerality that holds sway on the finish. Catarratto, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon and Traminer Aromatico.

This white blend is the quintessential seafood wine. It offers citrus, stone fruit, crushed mineral and pretty flower nuances. — M.L. (3/1/2013)
