Product Notes

Teusner's The Independent Shiraz Mataro is a harmoniously balanced wine, hailing from the acclaimed Barossa Valley. Its exceptional blend presents a rich, dark-fruit profile of blackberries and raspberries, mingling delectably with earthy undertones and a cheeky hint of white pepper. Intricate layers of sweet spice and soft, supple tannins round off the taste. This expressive wine, matured exquisitely in seasoned French oak barrels, beautifully combines the boldness of Shiraz with the rustic elegance of Mataro. The result is a full-bodied, sophisticated wine with an enduring finish, perfect for those seeking an invigorating, stylish tipple.

Tasting Notes

The wine is jam packed with Barossa Shiraz flavours....plums, black fruits and warm spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and 5 spice. There’s a touch of mid palate sweetness, some mocha and black olive and the soft tannins are integrated seamlessly through the mid palate. The subtle use of oak allows the rich dark fruit to take center stage. A wonderful fruit driven expression of Barossa Valley Shiraz and outstanding value too.
