Wine tasting notes
We are proud to present the latest vintage of our Agricola Punica Barrua. This outstanding Sardinian red wine is made from the native Bovaleddu grape, and offers a complex and deeply satisfying drinking experience. The 2017 vintage was another excellent year for winemaking in Sardinia, and the resulting wine is a beautifully balanced example of what this unique island can produce. The nose is full of dark fruits and liquorice, with a pleasing hint of oak. The palate is generous and round, with more dark fruit flavours joined by some spice and chocolate notes. The tannins are ripe and soft, making this an approachable and enjoyable wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for further development.
