Cantine Due Palme

Cantine Due Palme who are located in the Salento region of Puglia in the heel of Italy’s boot. They are a cooperative, founded in 1989 by Angelo Maci, who is the third generation in a family of winemakers. Today the company have 1,200 growers, covering 2,400 hectares in the heart of the Salento region spread between the provinces of Brindisi, Taranto and Lecce. They are recognised as one of the best large-scale cellars in the region, and are the only winemakers in Italy to achieve Check-Fruit certification on the production of grapes without the use of pesticides.

The combined benefits of vines grown on arid, stony soils, fanned by cooling breezes from both the Ionian and Adriatic Seas, result in highly concentrated fruit.

The Sea Change Italian range consists of two IGP wines, a white and red.
Oceans are the biggest ecosystems on earth, and their conservation is of the upmost importance if we want to save our planet for future generations, because for humankind to survive and prosper, we need healthy oceans. It’s time for a Sea Change!
"Sea Change Wine are honoured to have two of the world's leading environmentalists, Sir David Attenborough and Jean-Michel Cousteau, supporting the Sea Change Project.".
They support ocean conservation through direct partnerships with key ocean and marine focused charities.
The range has been designed with minimal packaging to reduce potential waste and to maximise its environmental credentials:
*‘Grape Touch’ labels have been used, which consist of 15% recycled grape waste with the remaining raw materials coming from FSC certified forests.
*The Nomacorc Select Green closure is made from renewable plant-based polymers, resulting in the cork being fully recyclable.
*No capsule covers are used on the wine to minimise unnecessary packaging and to enhance the ease of recycling.
*Money from every bottle of Sea Change is donated to various marine charities.
